Moving fucking sucks!!

The title pretty much sums it up.....moving sucks. It's not an deep or revolutionary thought, it just is. How does one person (or two in this case) accumulate so much junk? There is now a huge free for all around the dumpster outside my building, because as my catchphrase of the day is, "I don't care anymore". I have 2 days to clean and get out of here and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Why take the time to sit down and write about it in your blog one might ask? Well fair reader, it is because I find writing therapeutic and if taking 5 mins out from cleaning and packing calms me down a bit then I will do it.

Okay so it might seem as if I have forgotten about my blog but there is not a lot happening right now and I don't want to bore people with "I went to work" or "I bought some clothes for work". Because that is pretty much all I am doing until I leave.....

Stuff is coming together

So with 2 weeks to go stuff is finally coming together and it's going to be a long slog to get to the end....but in the end I am going to be in Mo-freaking Bali so can't complain too much. Haha.

They rented out my apartment and we (potentially) have a date for moving all the rest of the crap out so it's all gravy. Everything is coming up Kate.....of course now I just jinxed something but it wouldn't be an adventure without some sort of hiccups.

All right off to do my day of chores....fun times.

One track mind....

So I am sitting in my room watching Departures, a Canadian travel show, getting psyched up for the next few weeks. And I am trying to figure out if I want to watch the Bali (Indonesia) episode
The last few weeks are the most important and the most nerve wracking to be honest. I am feeling completely overwhelmed at the moment. All the days and months beforehand were all just the "ideas" portion of the planning..."Oh when I go here I can do...." but this is it, it's really happening now.

My apartment is gross right now. There is just piles of stuff everywhere; there's a Christa and Yannick are taking this stuff pile, someone else is taking this, I'M taking this stuff, who the hell knows where this is going?- That's sadly the biggest pile right now.

I can't think of anything else other than Bali. It's completely engulfed my entire thought process right now.

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship

3 weeks to go....

So I am starting this new blog with 3 weeks left to go until I go to Bali to live for a year. Leaving my little home in Victoria on little (in the Canadian scheme of things) Vancouver Island for an even smaller island in one of the largest chains of islands on the planet. 

I thought that I would keep a separate blog from my normal tumblr because I am pretty sure that if I shared my normal tumblr with people who just want to hear about my trip, they would get pretty fed up with hockey, beards and random Batman comics pretty fast. 

I have to go to work now but I felt odd creating it and not writing anything.
